The French wedding tradition:
Each bride would order her vase(s) to be made especially for her. She would choose the style and colors. Sometimes a matching pair was made., and sometimes a very close family member would give them to the bride. After the wedding the bride places her bouquet in the vase and the flower wreath that held her veil was placed around the vase. When they were both dry the vase encircled by the garland rests on a pedestal base with a beautiful glass dome over all.
